Add: Donkey Showmanship at Halter |

|
Justification and impact if rule is not changed |
| JUSTIFICATION:Donkey Showmanship at Halter is a popular class for exhibitors at shows. Show managements like it because of revenue. Although it is judged on the exhibitors ability to fit and show a donkey, the donkey must be trained to pivot on the inside hind leg, lead off at a walk and trot with your shoulder, stop with your shoulder and set up for inspection. You cannot apply these aids to an untrained animal. Only a highly trained animal can show your ability as a showman. This is the only class that test an animal in this area. (IMPACT IS BEING SENT IN ANOTHER E-MAIL AS THERE IS NOT ROOM FOR IT HERE) |

Committee Comments |
The Commitee feels that this class accrues points for the nadler and, therefore, handicaps the exhibitord in getting points on the donkey. It would be best served to depend on classes that are judged on the performance of the animal rather than the handler to maintain fairness to the animals.
